1. Scope and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to Quizpedia ("Quizpedia"), a trivia game for Apple devices. Quizpedia is developed and published by JJ Studio Entertainment ("we", "us", or "our").

Quizpedia does not require you to create a JJ Studio Entertainment account. We do not operate a Quizpedia user-account service or a developer-hosted cloud profile for the game.

2. Information stored locally on your device

Quizpedia may store limited application state and preferences locally on your device to operate the app. This includes a locally cached indication of whether the one-time Remove Ads entitlement is active.

The Remove Ads cache is used so the app can remember the entitlement and avoid requesting advertisements when the purchase is active. StoreKit entitlement information from Apple remains the authority used by the app to validate purchase access.

Local application data remains on your device unless it is removed by the app, cleared by the operating system, or removed when you uninstall the app. Device backups managed by Apple may follow Apple's own backup and retention practices.

3. Advertising and Google services

The free version of Quizpedia uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage certain privacy and consent choices where required.

According to Google's documentation for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, the SDK may process or collect information such as:

IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location;
device identifiers, including advertising or app/developer-bounded identifiers where permitted;
advertising data, such as ads that were displayed;
app and ad interaction information;
crash logs and diagnostic information; and
performance information such as app launch time, hangs, or energy usage.

Google may use this information for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and improving its advertising services, subject to Google's own policies and the permissions and choices available to you.

Third-party service: Google Mobile Ads and UMP are provided by Google. Their data practices are governed by Google's terms and privacy policies. You can review Google's Privacy Policy and Google's iOS advertising data disclosure.

4. Consent, App Tracking Transparency and IDFA

Quizpedia uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage privacy choices in regions where a consent or privacy message is required. When Google indicates that privacy options must be available, Quizpedia provides a Privacy Options entry in Settings so you can review or change available choices.

Apple App Tracking Transparency

On Apple platforms, access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking is controlled by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Quizpedia uses the Google UMP IDFA message flow to provide context before Apple's system permission request when that flow is applicable.

If you deny ATT permission, Quizpedia can continue to display advertisements when they are otherwise allowed by the applicable Google consent state, but Google Mobile Ads does not receive the IDFA in the ad request.

If you authorize ATT, Google Mobile Ads may access and use the IDFA for purposes permitted by Apple and described by Google, including advertising and measurement.

Your choice: You can manage Apple's tracking permission in the iOS/iPadOS Settings app. Where required, you can also reopen Google's privacy choices from Quizpedia's Settings screen through Privacy Options.

5. Remove Ads purchase

Quizpedia offers an optional one-time Remove Ads in-app purchase. Purchases and restorations are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

Apple may process your Apple Account, payment, tax, device, and transaction information according to Apple's policies. Quizpedia receives only the StoreKit information needed to determine whether the Remove Ads entitlement is valid, such as entitlement or transaction status. Quizpedia does not receive your full payment-card number or Apple Account password.

Quizpedia stores a limited local cache of the Remove Ads entitlement so the app can remember that advertisements should be disabled. Apple remains responsible for its own purchase records and retention requirements.

6. Data sharing and third parties

Quizpedia does not sell personal information. The app does not require a developer-hosted account and does not send a Quizpedia profile to JJ Studio Entertainment.

Information may be processed by third parties in connection with the services described in this policy, including:

Google, for advertising, consent management, diagnostics, measurement, security, and related advertising services;
Apple, for App Store purchases, restorations, device services, ATT permission, and platform operation; and
hosting, network, email, or security providers when you visit our website or voluntarily contact us for support.

Third-party services process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. We expect third parties we use to handle information consistently with applicable privacy requirements and the protections described in their published terms.

7. Support communications and this website

If you voluntarily contact JJ Studio Entertainment for support, we may receive the email address, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and maintain appropriate support records.

This Privacy Policy is hosted on the JJ Studio Entertainment developer website. Website hosting, network, and security providers may automatically process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, requested pages, and security events to deliver and protect the website. Website traffic is separate from Quizpedia's in-app gameplay.

8. Data retention and deletion

Local Quizpedia data and preferences: remain on your device until removed by the app, cleared where the operating system allows, or deleted when you uninstall the app.
Remove Ads purchase records: Apple retains App Store transaction records according to its accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, legal, and platform requirements. Removing Quizpedia from your device does not erase Apple's store records.
Google advertising and consent data: retention is governed by Google's applicable products, privacy policies, consent choices, and legal obligations.
Support communications: may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support history, protect our services, or meet legal obligations.

Because Quizpedia does not create a JJ Studio Entertainment user account, there is no Quizpedia online account to delete.

9. Security

Quizpedia is designed to minimize the amount of developer-hosted information needed to run the game. Limited app state is stored locally, purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit, and advertising/consent functionality is provided through established platform and Google SDKs.

No application, device, network, SDK, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your device and operating system up to date and use the privacy and security controls provided by Apple.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

You can exercise available privacy choices by:

using Privacy Options in Quizpedia Settings when Google requires that entry point;
managing App Tracking Transparency permission in iOS/iPadOS Settings;
purchasing Remove Ads if you prefer to use Quizpedia without advertising;
uninstalling Quizpedia to remove app-local data from the device, subject to operating-system backup behavior;
contacting Apple regarding App Store purchase information; and
contacting JJ Studio Entertainment regarding information you voluntarily provided to us through support.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information held by us. You may contact us regarding information we actually possess, such as support communications. Requests concerning information held by Apple or Google may need to be directed to those companies because JJ Studio Entertainment may not have access to that data.

11. Children's privacy

Quizpedia is a general-audience trivia game and is not specifically designed as a child-directed service. Quizpedia does not require users to create an account or directly submit their name, age, or contact information to play.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has voluntarily sent personal information to JJ Studio Entertainment through a support communication, please contact us so we can review the request and delete information where appropriate.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Quizpedia's features, advertising services, privacy controls, store requirements, third-party SDKs, or applicable laws change. We will publish the updated policy at this URL and revise the effective date shown at the top of the page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or App Store listing when appropriate.
