Help with practice, tuner, metronome, repertoire, purchases and local data.

1. Getting started

You do not need to create a Jamsic account. Complete the onboarding, optionally add an initial song, or go directly to Home and build your repertoire later.

Your musical and practice data is stored locally on your device.

2. Tuner and microphone

If the tuner is not detecting your instrument:

  • Confirm microphone permission is enabled.
  • Move closer to the instrument.
  • Reduce excessive background noise.
  • Play one clear note at a time.
  • Close and reopen the tuner if necessary.

On iOS, check Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, or the equivalent location in your current iOS version. On Android, check the microphone permission in Jamsic's app settings.

The tuner is best evaluated on a real device with a physical microphone.

3. Metronome

If you cannot hear the metronome, verify the device volume, silent/audio output configuration and any Bluetooth or external audio routing that may be active.

Use the BPM controls, slider or Tap Tempo to set the speed, and choose the desired beats per measure.

4. Repertoire

The free version supports up to 25 non-archived songs. Paused songs count toward this quota. The current version does not provide an Archive/Unarchive interface.

If you reach the free limit, you can remove songs you no longer need. Jamsic Pro Lifetime unlocks an unlimited non-archived repertoire.

5. Rehearsals and gigs

The free version supports one upcoming rehearsal and one upcoming gig. Jamsic Pro Lifetime unlocks unlimited upcoming rehearsals and unlimited upcoming gigs.

Jamsic also lets you record rehearsal issues so you can revisit them during later practice.

6. Practice sessions and recommendations

Home lets you choose how much time you have and build a practice plan. Recommendations are created locally from your own repertoire and practice information; Jamsic does not send this data to an online AI service.

During a session you can pause the timer, move to the previous or next song and finish the practice when you are done.

7. Performance Mode

Performance Mode is available with Jamsic Pro Lifetime.

8. Jamsic Pro Lifetime

Jamsic Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription and there is no recurring Jamsic Pro charge.

The price shown inside the app is provided by the App Store or Google Play and may vary by region, currency and applicable taxes.

Future online services, if introduced, may be offered separately.

9. Restore Purchases

If you previously purchased Pro, open Jamsic Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Wait for the Apple App Store or Google Play to verify the purchase.

Use the same store account that originally completed the purchase. No Jamsic account is required.

If the store reports the purchase as pending, cancelled or incomplete, Jamsic will not activate Pro until the store confirms a valid purchase. Check the applicable store account and try again later if needed.

10. Local data, backup and reinstalling

Jamsic currently does not provide its own cloud sync or Jamsic account backup. Your repertoire, practice history, rehearsals, gigs and progress are stored locally.

When changing devices, uninstalling Jamsic or resetting local data, local information may not be recoverable. Pro purchases are separate from your repertoire data and may be restored through the applicable store when eligible.

11. Privacy

Jamsic currently does not use advertising, analytics or behavioral tracking. The tuner processes microphone audio locally and does not save or upload the audio.

For full details, read the Jamsic Privacy Policy.

When possible, include your device model, iOS or Android version, Jamsic version, what you were trying to do, what happened instead, steps to reproduce the problem and a screenshot if useful.

For purchase problems, the platform, whether the store shows the purchase as completed, pending or cancelled, and the approximate purchase date can be useful.

Do not send passwords, Apple ID or Google passwords, credit card information or full payment credentials.
